Contagiously Courageous!

A setback that landed me in the ICU incidentally led me on the path to Dr.C.
Dr. C, the amazing oncologist whose calm demeanor somehow reassured me that I’m in good hands.
I had no fear.
I somehow knew I was going to get better, with his guidance.
The only way I can describe it is like a messenger was sent to give me hope.
I was willing to try anything Doctor C. recommended.
And I did.
My trust in this doctor and his continuous encouragement at my lowest low, along with his belief in me, helped me realize that there is a greater force out there.
More powerful than fear.
More formidable than weakness.
More prominent than self-doubt.
This journey I had embarked on was indeed an enlightening and spiritual passage.
The power of family, friendship and prayers guided me through that journey.

By the grace of God, I found rejuvenation and the healing has begun.

Love the cartoon! 🙂 I am so glad for you that your path in life has lead you to Dr. C. It is obvious the two of you work well TOGETHER and make a good TEAM. Call it coincidence, but my last name is Colter. I had patients calling me Dr. C. for many years. I’ve decided to lump all doctors with last name beginning with “C” into one classification; I call it CARING! May all the doctors in your future come from this classification.

Now, go get back to “all those things” God intends on you accomplishing!! 🙂

Yes C is for caring and compassion. I truly enjoy reading your educational blogs. I am grateful for each day and I don’t take anything for granted. Life is a gift and I intend to pay it forward.

“Pay it forward;” a way of life I believe strongly in.

I’m so glad you value LIFE and recognize it as a GIFT! So many simply take it for granted. May each morning bring a smile to your face as you discover the possibilities that each day offers.

The power of hope and a positive attitude should never be underestimated. Neither Faye or I lost hope for one second even after being told to get our affairs in order because the best we could hope for was a few more months together. The surgeon who performed her radical life saving surgery as much as told us that his decision to take our case was because of our positive attitude. He mentioned an identical case which he was reluctant to take on because the patient didn’t have the emotional stamina. He just didn’t see the point.

You handle your situation with such grace and joyfulness. You understand there is a purpose to our suffering, although I will never understand why God chose this way. But, I wouldn’t trade my life with anyone else. You touch so many lives through your words.
